Dr. Dudum and his staff are all wonderful, from the receptionist, the assistant, and the good doctor himself. I felt well taken care of and confident that this is the best place possible to get the drill. I was well-informed of the cost, what was going to happen, and how to care for the tooth post-root canal. The doctor himself even phoned a few days after the procedure, which was an appreciated touch. As you’re tilted back in the dental chair you have a view of a towering tree outside, which coupled with a Pandora station of your choosing, creates a nice distraction from what’s going on in your mouth.- Joanna M.
Who knew having a root canal could be such a pleasent experience…from the moment I stepped into Dr. Rishwain’s office I felt at ease. The receptionists were very nice but also very professional. Dr Rohde performed a miracle on my tooth. Other dentists were not willing to try but Dr Rohde did and my tooth is doing great! He was kind, and considerate. I had to have a root canal done and Dr. Manoukian was recommended by my primary dentist, Dr. Haas. This was my first root canal ever as it was caused by a rock in a Whole Foods burrito. I was very nervous to say the least but he performed it so incredibly smooth that it was done in just over an hour with no pain what so ever to speak of. He made me feel very comfortable before he started and I truly appreciated his candor and his joviality – what a great guy. To boot, I asked him to write a statement of declaration for me for my small claims suit against Whole Foods and he had no problem doing that for me. Had my root canal done last minute before a trip to Vietnam and Dr. Daryl Dudum did a great job. Fit me in right away and I have had no problems since. 1) The staff is super friendly, extremely proficient, and kind.
2) Dr. Rishwain is a pro, pro, PRO!! I was in and out of the office in ninety minutes for a molar root canal. I didn’t even need advil the next day. NO PAIN at all. It was amazing considering all the horror stories I had heard about root canals.

This man has some serious skills. I was referred to him by another dentist after experiencing horrible tooth/jaw pain and he quickly identified the tooth which had died. Prognosis: ROOT CANAL! But it could not have been a more gentle experience. From his cool ipod selection that he let me choose, to the friendly nurses to his explaining exactly what he would do, how long it normally takes to recover and such things, it was as pleasant as oral surgery can be. :-0 But I was mostly floored by his skills. He cleaned and packed all the roots and even found one that other surgeons might have missed. I have had other root canals and lots of dental work in general and am acutely aware of a doctors skillset. Dr. Manoukian is in the upper echelon of oral surgeons. If you have the misfortune of needing this procedure, I don’t think you will find anyone better for the job.

At the suggestion of a friend, I flew from Boston to San Francisco to have Dr. Manoukian perform a root canal on my problematic back tooth. It was the best oral health decision I’ve ever made. Quality is JOB 1 in Dr. M’s office. He and his assistant are thoroughly professional and exceptionally skilled. The procedure went off without any complications and – as importantly – without any pain. If you live in northern California and are using an endodontist who is NOT Dr. Mark Manoukian, then you’re doing so at your own risk. With Dr. M, it’s root canal in the morning, party in the evening.- Marc J.
Getting a root canal is never fun, no matter how you slice it, just not something thats “fun” to do. However, my visit to see Dr. Dudum was a great experience. I was nervous going in and he quickly put me at ease and was very kind and extremely professional. My situation was unique as my nerve was shaped in a very unnatural way. It was no problem for Dr. Dudum as he had me in and out in about 45 minutes or so. The office is very clean, they have modern top-notch tools and the staff is amazing. Not to mention, his prices are very reasonable and was not at all surprised at my bill as Dr. Dudum and his staff walked me through expected costs BEFORE my procedure.
So lucky to have been sent to Dr. Rohde. He and his whole staff are so friendly and know how to make you feel at ease even during a stressful time.They asked what music I wanted to listen to and so I got to groove out to the new Adele album while they did their drilling thing. I had a difficult tooth situation (hot tooth) but Dr. Rohde kept me informed and even laughing throughout the whole procedure, even sang along to Adele’s version of the Cure’s “Love Song”. So that was a first, a serenade to go with a root canal!- Kate M.

Wow what a great experience! Starting from making my appointment then xrays with dr. rishwain’s assistant.This was my first root canal and I was a little nervous, but my dentist referred me to Dr.Rishwain and it was totally easy and painless. I couldn’t belive how fast it was over. I highly recomend Dr. Rishwain. I didn’t have any pain following the procedure just very light soreness didn’t even need pain relivers. I was referred to Dr. Manoukian by my dentist after we discovered a tooth issue in need of Root Canal!! I was nervous and anxious, as I am very sensitive to dental pain. From the moment I met Mark Manoukian, he and his staff did everything possible to put me at ease. He played the music of my choice on the ipod, and listened to my concerns, providing sufficient Novocain to COMPLETELY prevent pain through the entire procedure. He carefully explained every step in the process, and completed it with ease. Through the entire process, I did not experience even the smallest bit of discomfort or pain. I had complete confidence in him, and would absolutely recommend him to anyone needing this type of dental work. I have known Darron Rishwain for probably 20 years…since we are both dentists! I send ALL of my molar root canals and difficult work to him. He’s brilliant. Today, I went to see him as a patient, since a molar root canal of mine had failed and needed to be retreated. I had heard from patients I referred how thorough and gentle he was but I had no idea until I sat in his chair. The experience was just incredible from start to finish. I had a visit for a root canal on a dead tooth a year ago. Dr. Rishwain was very nice and attentive. They have a machine was able to drill a tiny hole with very little vibration and cool it down at the same time to save my bridge. Yeah, the dead tooth was part of a bridge. He was able to save the integrity of the whole bridge. This is still true – a year after the procedure had been done. Not only he saved me time and money without getting a new bridge but possible a root implant because the dead tooth had very little left under the bridge. This is probably the most successful dentist procedure that I have had. Saved time and money with very professional service. I know it is a very small procedure for him, but he still called the next day to check in. – SW

I’m the biggest wimp when it comes to anything to do with my teeth. I was recommended to Dr Rishwain by my dentist. Even though I was terrified about the thought of having a root canal, I had nothing to be frightened of as Dr Rishwain and team were fabulous. I was fortunate enough to have checked through Yelp on reviews for an endodontic surgeon. I sadly had severe tooth pain in Paris during my honeymoon and called them from their landline and I was their first patient on Monday. The office of Dr. Rishwain as well as the doctor himself were nothing short of spectacular. They were incredibly empathetic. I was actually shocked after he evaluated me that he would see me at the end of the day (probably pushing his day later than normal). The end result? MUCH NEEDED RELIEF! He and the assistant during the procedure kept asking me if I was in any pain because I was shaking uncontrollably as I had experienced immense pain from that damned molar tooth.
